Welcome to the Department of Construction Management and Industrial Engineering. We are one of the larger departments of the College of Engineering at Louisiana State University. Our enrollment exceeds 600 in the combined |
programs. Our faculty numbers approximately 30 and a staff of four. Combined, the faculty and staff are very engaged in meeting the needs of our student population. Our students are active and are constantly faced with the opportunities provided by a dynamic environment of teaching, research and learning. We have very active advisory boards and some of the best support by industrial groups of any department in the nation. Our students have opportunities for summer jobs and internships which afford them the opportunity to obtain experience which is so critical in today's economy.

 Congratulations to Dr. Xiaoyue Jiang, Dr. Thomas Ray, Dr. Donglei Du and Mr. Sean Ghazavi on receiving the "Outstanding Paper Award" at the 2007 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management held from December 2 to 5, 2007 in Singapore. Dr. Jiang was the lead author as well as the presenter of the paper at the conference.
